I have many years experience developing and administering courses at universities in the US, Germany, and Australia. My pedagogical approach emphasizes active learning, rather than passive absorption of course material from the instructor. It has some elements in common with what is often called the "flipped classroom" approach, such as student-led learning and interactive problem-solving in the classroom.
Over the past few years I have been exploring ways to use virtual and augmented reality technology in the classroom. In 2019 I was awarded a fellowship with the University of Miami Faculty Learning Community for Augmented Reality and Spatial Computing, working in collaboration with the augmented reality developer Magic Leap.
Some examples of courses I have recently developed and taught are below.
